Terms and conditions
Last updated: 15 August 2026. Please read these terms before using UPSCPath AI.
Draft notice: this policy uses placeholders in brackets (business name, address, contact details) that must be filled in with your registered business information before this page is relied on in production.
1. Who we are
UPSCPath AI is operated by [Legal Entity / Proprietor Name], a business registered in India with its registered address at [Registered Business Address] ("we", "us", "our"). These terms govern your use of the UPSCPath AI website, reader, notes, feedback tools and any related services (the "Platform").
2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
3. What the Platform offers
UPSCPath AI provides NCERT-based study material, bilingual (English/Hindi) notes, revision material, MCQs, Mains answer-writing practice, flashcards, PYQ mapping and an AI-assisted study roadmap for UPSC Civil Services aspirants. Some features are in active development and may change, be added, or be discontinued as the Platform evolves.
4. Accounts and eligibility
Sign-in currently uses Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure; activity under your account is your responsibility. Account creation is subject to Google's own age requirements. If you are a minor using the Platform (for example, a Class 6-12 school student), we recommend you use it with the awareness and guidance of a parent or guardian.
5. Content ownership — NCERT books vs. our notes
This distinction matters and applies throughout the Platform:
- NCERT textbooks (PDFs) are public educational material published by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training), a Government of India body. We do not claim ownership over this original textbook content — we host and organize it for convenient reading alongside our own study tools.
- Everything else — notes, summaries, revision material, MCQs, Mains answer frameworks, flashcards and PYQ mapping — is proprietary content authored by UPSCPath AI and is our intellectual property, protected under applicable copyright law. It may not be copied, scraped, redistributed, resold, rehosted, or used to train other products/services without our prior written permission.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract notes or other proprietary content;
- Share your account or paid access with people outside your household;
- Use automated bots or scripts against the Platform outside normal browser use;
- Submit abusive, false, or harmful content through the feedback tools;
- Attempt to bypass access controls on protected classes/content.
7. Subscriptions and payments
Access is currently free during launch. Some features (advanced AI planning, Mains answer evaluation, premium revision workflows) may become paid plans in future. Pricing, billing cycles, and refund terms for any paid plan will be published on the Plans page and in-app before you are charged.
8. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party services to operate, including Google (sign-in, and Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager), and cloud infrastructure providers for storage and hosting. Your use of the Platform is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.
9. Disclaimer
UPSCPath AI is an independent, privately built study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NCERT, NCERT/NIOS, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), or any Government of India body. NCERT and UPSC-linked material should be cross-verified against official sources. AI-generated features are study assistance, not authoritative or exam-guaranteed content, and we do not guarantee any specific exam outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UPSCPath AI and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, including misuse of proprietary notes or abuse of the Platform. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how).
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [City, State] shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
